We  collaborate with pro-audio market leaders to the development of high quality audio solutions. Our expertise encompasses a wide range of products, including active speakers, mixers, digital matrix, amplifiers and DSP processors. We can assist our partners in R&D with the joint development of specific sub-systems or with the design of complete products to specification. We can also conduct investigations for new solutions, surveys of new technologies or feasibility studies, freeing up our partners’ internal resources. We also specialise in providing DSP-based solutions for direct integration in new products accelerating time to market.

From the very beginning, Leaff has been involved in projects around car audio. Initially dealing with sound-quality evaluation, Leaff have gained a vast experience in every aspect of small spaces sound reproduction. A wide range of topics has been addressed, including identification techniques, HRTF-based binaural rendering, methods for conducting listening tests, image localisation and DSP-based architectures for efficient multi-channel filtering and rendering. Our “PERCEPT“ auto equalisation algorithm is the result of a long-lasting collaboration with A3LAB. It was born in the early 2000s, when digital room correction was still a new and largely unknown technology.

To us, Avionics is “I-FEEL” project. Leaff cooperates in the design and development of the In-Flight Entertainment Enhanced Lounge (I-FEEL) system, which is available for installation on most medium and heavy helicopter models (AW139R, AW189, AW101, Airbus EC145, AH160, Bell 429, Bell 525). An ongoing challenge to develop increasingly sophisticated solutions while maintaining compliance with rigorous regulatory standards.

Mixing experiences from pro-audio and avionics, Leaff has developed audio interfaces that have been installed on a number of luxury yachts from leading shipyards. Maximum ratio between space occupied and functionality offered, is the criterion that inspires the design of any device. The result is pristine audio quality, the highest interfaces density, reliability and ease of use thanks to our “beindSP” configuration tool: a comprehensive set of DSP algorithms is provided to efficiently tune and optimize any audio installation. Our “PERCEPT” auto equalization algorithm can also be run to drastically reduce the operator’s workload in challenging acoustic scenarios.
